Become a member in about 10 minutes.
Membership makes you a part-owner of Pacific Spruce Federal Credit Union. Every member has one vote, one voice, and one share in a not-for-profit cooperative that exists for the Central Oregon Coast.
Eligibility
Who can join Pacific Spruce?
Our field of membership includes employees and members of a set of local employers and groups — plus their immediate family and household members. If you have a relative who qualifies, you very likely do too.
-
Work for a sponsor employer. Georgia Pacific, City of Newport, Lincoln County School District and more.
-
Live with someone who qualifies. Immediate family or household members of eligible individuals are welcome.
-
Retirees keep their membership. Pensioners and annuitants from eligible employers remain in the field of membership.
How it works
Three steps to member-owner.

Gather a few things
A government-issued photo ID, your Social Security number, your current address, and proof of eligibility (employer, family relationship, etc.).

Stop by 727 NW A Street, Toledo, OR. A teller will verify your eligibility and open a membership share account.

FAQ
Membership questions we hear most.
Can I join if I don’t work for one of the listed employers?
Very likely — if someone in your immediate family or household is eligible, you are too. Immediate family includes spouse, child, sibling, parent, grandparent or grandchild, plus step and adoptive relationships. Check our full field-of-membership list or give us a call.
Do I have to live in Toledo?
No. Most of our members live across Lincoln County and the Central Oregon Coast. Membership is tied to the field-of-membership groups, not a specific town.
What does the $5 opening deposit do?
It funds your membership share account — the account that makes you a part-owner of the credit union. You can withdraw the remaining balance later, but the $5 share must stay in the account while you are a member.
Will opening an account affect my credit?
Opening a share savings account is not a credit inquiry. A hard credit pull is only done if you apply for a loan or overdraft line of credit and accept an offer.
Can children become members?
Yes. With a parent or guardian as a joint owner, we can open a custodial share account for a minor. Bring the child’s Social Security number and birth certificate.
Your savings are federally insured to at least $250,000 and backed by the full faith and credit of the United States Government.
